Admission process may vary from one college to another. Government science colleges and reputed private science colleges conduct merit based admission process. Under merit based admission process, seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of their performance in relevant selection test/entrance exam/interview and/or board examination.

 

A merit list is formed on the basis of candidates’ performance in relevant selection test and/or board examination. Based on this merit list, seats are allotted among eligible and deserving candidates.

 

However, admission process may vary from one college to another. Some colleges are known to conduct direct or donation based admission process.

 

If a college has access to too many vacant seats, it may label such seats under the direct admission process. Such seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of ‘first come, first served’ basis. On the other hand, few seats in a private college are reserved under the ‘management quota’. These seats are distributed among deserving candidates on the basis of donation based admission process.
