Eligibility criteria

 

Age limit

Candidate should not be less than 18 years of age and more than 30 years of age at the time of applying. Upper age limit has been relaxed for SC/ST candidates (up to 5 years), OBC candidates (up to 3 years), SC/ST disabled candidates (up to 10 years), OBC disabled candidates (up to 8 years), OC disabled candidates (up to 5 years) and BSNL employees (up to 5 years). Ex-Servicemen will get appropriate age relaxation as per the norms set by the Central Government. J&K residents will get relaxation based on the DOP&T notification.

 

Educational qualification

3 years long Diploma in Engineering course Or 4 years long B.E. or B.Tech. course in any of the following branches (from a State or Central Government recognized institute) –

  • Telecommunication
  • Electrical
  • Electronics
  • Radio
  • Computer
  • IC (Instrumentation)
  • IT (Information Technology)

OR

  • B.Sc. Electronics
  • B.Sc. Computer Science

OR

  • M.Sc. Electronics

Selection procedure

Candidates will be selected based on their performance in an online test. The online test will be held at state wise selection centres. The test will be 3 hours long. It comprises of MCQs. Negative marking scheme exists in this test.

The online test is made up of 3 parts. Part 1 is general ability test. Part 2 is basic engineering test and part 3 is specialization test.
